@Ezrielsnow it's a sequel to Egrariand Chronicles Book 2 actually, an extra book written for those who love the character of the fire prince. But it can be read as stand-alone, though some characters and events refer to what was written in book 2 such as King Blaine, Imani, and the war, so some part may be a bit confusing if you haven't read book 2. But I hope not that much since it has its own story arch :)
