hey guys! I recently started shameless & I absolutely love it! at first I didn’t like it bc it looked like just a show about trashy white ppl & it still is but it grew on me. the only dumb thing I’ve noticed in the show is that it takes place in south side, chicago but there’s like 2 black ppl on it

@themeanaswany omg right!! I know for damn sure if it was an all black cast no one would watch it & I’m on s2 so ive been waiting for fiona or lip to get a black s/o but they never do

@Chelitam yea that's what irked me, probably why I couldn't get real addicted to it, they basically scavenged for every pale person in the area to focus their story on and a big part of the story is being and becoming comfortable with your sexuality but all of Fiona, Lip and Ian's mains look like them which is qwHite shady and I really like Fiona but the real aggravating part is if she was black, then she and the show would most likely never got that level of recognition and appreciation never saw the original though -- maybe the Gallaghers are the only white family in a UK city/town with barely any white people too
