i wish the stars in my neighborhood could be seen
the pollution has scared them away
invisible to those in my area
but its not like so many people care
i have never seen a star in my life
at least, i can't remember when
maybe i've seen a glimpse or caught an eyeful when i was younger
          but i can't remember
my mind is clouded like the pollution in the sky
the stars have left and gone elsewhere
          replaced by airplanes
          after all,
an empty sky and one moon
is the only night i'll ever know

Fuck, the moon is beautiful tonight
          its warm yellow hue
an ochre, not quite orange, but its bright
right in front of a blue background
an indigo background that sheathes the sky in darkness and makes up the night
          why so beautiful
          why so pretty
it serenades me to the sky
the houses and trees in my neighborhood seem so dark and wrapped up in a filter
like one of those on an app on my phone that shines upon my face, bringing light
the moon is almost full and only now can i see why people say its full of cheese
a wheel in the sky that is there for us to feed
          and why is it
          that nights so beautiful
          sights so bedazzling
are only for the people that are up early to see
          is it because
the moon is made of cheese
          and i
          am lactose intolerant

Shit. Shit.
Why did everything have to happen today?
The Sports Festival is only fucking starting. She feels something crawl under her skin, like a mass trying to get out. Her skin only seemed to be getting paler. Oh, gosh, why did that Todoroki guy have to trap her inside of a dark tunnel of all places. Tunnels reminded her of sewers, made her claustrophobic, and were (of course) dark. She was itching to get out like one of those insects inside of jars that looking back, were morbid and cruel. Everyone else was struggling, sure, but they didn't fear releasing darkness into the depths of where they stood, frozen. If only things could be easy, she supposed. She set to work, creating friction and heat so that she could break out of her icy prison just in time to save them all. She was running out of time. Her veins were darkening, as was her vision. One minute. It could change so much. She rushed in her endeavors. Melt, ice! Just melt! Please, please, I'm no hero, but let me sAVE THEM-

Too late. Tokoyami shivered from ahead, detecting something sinister afoot. He paused in his run through the race. Dark Shadow took on a worrying look as he looked back at the tunnel he and Tokoyami had ran through a few minutes ago. Just in time for both of them to see the explosion of a dark mass with what seemed to be a few shadowy arms stretching out from the deep depths. A medley of screams erupted, with one of a female overpowering them all. It was like an orchestra and her warped voice had conducted the shrieks from them all. Then, as quickly as it had started, it had ended. The stadium was silent, and one question swarmed around the minds of all but one:
          What had just happened?

          So short.
          Bleh.
          I hate this.
