@Megamike42 I'm sorry that I haven't been on in ages. I hope that this isn't too late, but I would absolutely love to. I have a testimony in this gospel that nothing will ever shake. I know that Christ bowed and bore the atonement in order to save each and every one of us. He saved me. I have been through what I can only hope will be my biggest trial in life. I went through severe depression, and the things that saved me were 1) Christ's great love and 2) Him leading me to the best friends that I have ever had. First of all, I felt unloved. I felt like everything would forever be wrong. Through fasting and prayer I was shown my true purpose in life. It didn't take the trial away, but it made it bearable. Through prayer I was also guided to the three best friends I have and will ever have. I was taught so much through all of this. I also have a testimony in the Book of Mormon, and Joseph Smith. At a very young age I learned the story of Joseph, and I was enthralled. I felt a personal connection to this man, and I have never lost that connection. The Book of Mormon saved me at a young age. I learned at age nine the true importance of repentance, but also of God's great love for all of mankind. It was no longer about me. I know that through the atonement and love of Christ, everyone and anyone may be saved, for surely we all sin. Christ has already paid for the sins and only asks that we will take his hand. I know that president Thomas Spencer Monson is the only living prophet of God that is alive right now. And I know that he has a great love for everyone. That is my basic testimony.
