..And they call this a kid's book series. XD

Soren, my beloved. Oh, how they traumatized you and all of your friends.

@sapphiresamurai YES, YOU MUST REVISIT THIS. It's just: *Chef's kiss*
Wolves of the Beyond is the sequel series, and it's pretty good, too. (Though GoG'H is obviously #1, but I digress.) There's Bears of the Ice as another sequel series, but that sort of dropped off after book four for some reason, and no one really knows what's going on with that. Horses of the Dawn is a kind of prequel (where humans are still alive, I think?) but I haven't really read that one yet.)

Yeye, violence and gore, a natural part of any children's book. /hj
The movie made it a bit less deep and profound, changed Twilight's and Digger's characters a bit, (among a few other things) but it's so enjoyable. I just think of it as a slight AU and ignore the fussier fans. XD

          	  *Deep inhale* FOR REDWAAAAAAALLLLLL!!!

The first few arcs of Warriors are good, but then I feel like it's just so repetitive. And it's gotten really.. Weird.. Of late.
It kind of feels like they're kicking a dead horse atp, ngl. (No hate or disrespect intended to the series, but if you have to bring the dead into the living world just to change things up a bit, maybe it's time to finish things with dignity.)

@Chickengirl250 Ooooo... I only ever read a few of the books as a kid and watched the movie... perhaps something to revisit? But yes, I've mentioned to my family many times over the years that it's a little funny what makes it into children's literature with so much violence and deeper content than expected, which is passed over since it's a children's story about animals. The same applies to Wings of Fire, Redwall, and I have never read Warrior Cats, but I assume the same there too.

Not me making caramelized banana parcels (I thought that would be a good name for this random thing I just happened to decide to figure out and make) in my new tamagoyaki pan like a rebel today. XD
Better than pancakes, fr. Now it's the fam's new favorite thing, so I guess I'll be making them a LOT more in the future.

          Then made brownies.

          Then started dinner.
          *Chop chop chopping*
Then my mother comes in and starts asking things, because she wants to help.
Mom: Kat, don't we need onions for-?
Me: *Pulls out onions* We have them.
Mom: Alright, but why didn't you cut those first?
Me: *Points at cutting board with knife* -Because it takes some time to cut the sausage when it's this dry, so I didn't want you to struggle with it. I was about to do the onions.
Mom: I didn't even know we had any left!
Me: That's why I keep track of these things, mama.
Mom: Okay, but we'll still need potatoes, and we don't have-
Me: *Literally pulling a sack of potatoes out from under my apron* You were saying?
Mom: HOW DO YOU FIT EVERYTHING UNDER THERE?!!
Me: *Is now pulling out a full head of cabbage from the skirt of my apron* Mother, YOU made this. It's built to last, and it's great for holding things.
          Mom: ..You're a beast.
          Me: UWU
          Also me: *S l o w l y pulling out the herbs and spices*
Mom: SERIOUSLY, HOW CAN ALL OF THAT FIT?!!
          Me: *Dying*

It was my brother's birthday today, and he was actually pretty happy and well-behaved. 0-O
Kind of scary, but pleasant, ngl. XD

We just spent a couple hours playing CoD. Usually I'm his navigator/diabolical plotting mastermind behind the scenes, (I'm the reason he beats everyone, lol) but I got the controller for a change today. :P

@Chickengirl250 I used too, I'm on the new one now! I only play with my dad and sometimes his friends!

My dad: *Smirks as he sizes me up*
Dad, suddenly grabbing both my hands and using my fingernails to impale the gift wrap on one of the Christmas boxes: *Aggressive jab* HIYAAAH!!!
Gift: *Is immediately sliced open and impaled* (Dw, the gift was fine)
Brother: *Terrified scream, half jumps off of the sofa in his panic* HOLYFU- *Remembers mom's there* Uh-uh..! ..Nope, I've got nothing. :(
          Me: .....................................
Me: DAD!!! THAT IS *NOT* FUNNY!!! STOP DOING THAT!!!
Dad: Hey! Thanks, Kat-a-Claus! *Giving me the evil 'Oh, yes. I am very pleased with you' look*
Me: YOU SERIOUSLY DON'T HAVE TO DO THAT EVERY TIME!!! YOU'RE SCARING MY DEAR BROTHER AGAIN!!!
          Dad: *Maniacal cackling*
Me: ..We should never have let you watch that cat video. -_-
