This just speaks my mind. I totally understand and respect this decision (if you ever make it). To be honest, the whole thing about uncensored contents create this mentality that’s like “This is a warning for underage, but we all know you won’t follow it” and it’s just so frustrating. Yes, children can learn and will learn if there’s no sex education available for them. But personally, I think the act of welcoming a minor into explicit contents isn’t the same as providing them understanding of it. Also, what type of explicit contents do people post on this hell of an app? Unconsented ones, deeply fictional ones—just… explicit contents. There’s a literal reason why it’s best to not expose any minors with any explicit contents, because it can always lead to the worst ones. Like. Be for real right now.
And my biggest problem with this app isn’t even exposure of explicit contents to children, it’s the fact that people always think they could let anyone slide because this is unserious and just a guilty pleasure. Talk about queer culture here. It’s literally 2025 and there are still people who (may) think gay people only exist in books. There are still people writing, reading, buying, translating, supporting stories that fetishise gay people (and barely even respect the culture). I’m not gonna go into details but, if it isn’t the fact that this app is a hot mess, and if people don’t irresponsibly throw stuffs on here without any regards because it’s “never that deep”, we may end up somewhere else with flying cars right now.
Conclusion; yes queen let’s go and grow out of this app. Also, do you plan to be active on any other platforms? I would love to support you and your works somewhere you feel the most comfortable with.
