@Chiilllii

          Thank you for taking the time to write this. I genuinely appreciate readers who care enough about the story to question it instead of simply reading and moving on.

          I also want to say that it was never my intention to sideline Draupadi or diminish her role in the Mahabharata. She remains one of the most important characters in this story, and the relationships between her, Vedha, and the Pandavas are something I have spent a great deal of time thinking about.

          You raised a question that every story with an original character eventually has to answer: why does this character exist in the first place? Honestly, I think you pointed me in the right direction at a moment when I had started drifting away from some of the ideas I originally had for Vedha.

          I cannot answer all of your questions without spoiling future books, but I can assure you that Vedha was never meant to simply retell the Mahabharata from the sidelines or replace what Draupadi represents in the original epic. Many of the questions you raised—about her purpose, her place in the story, and the distinction between her and Draupadi—are things the story itself intends to explore.

          More importantly, thank you for pointing this out. Criticism like yours genuinely helps me step back and look at my own work from a reader's perspective.

          And if you'd ever like to share more of your thoughts or theories as the story progresses, I'd be happy to hear them. Conversations like these help me grow as a writer.

@indigo30
            Thanks for taking my question positively. I only wrote this now when you have just finished the first part of the Pandavas life, because I am seriously keen on reading the entire book and the story as it progresses. And I didn't want to get disappointed again, it's been almost 10 stories on wattpads which start with an OC female character coming in from the future, who become either Draupadi's sister or Pandavas sister or sometimes subhadra's sister and becomes Yudhishtir or Arjuna's only love and they marry Draupadi only because of Mother's word and then they do all the things that Draupadi did in the epic, sometimes they get humiliated along with Draupadi sometimes Draupadi gets humilated alone and they come in the last minute with punch dialogues of war and doom after everything is over and then exile happens and keechak happens again Draupadi suffers and Draupadi's children die in the war. And this mahagyani all knowing OC character gets to be with Yudhishtir or Arjun all the time mouthing punch dialogues and enjoys motherhood and thats it. It seriously irritates me that they make a mockery of Draupadi just to insert a OC which is not even an OC anymore because almost 10 storylines have exactly the same story
            In that Anyati story everything happens with Aanyati and other Pandvaas have no husband wife relationship with Draupadi at all except Arjun so what was the need for making her marry all the others. It was so stupid. You don't have to reveal future of your story I will wait to read it as you pulish, please don't repeat what others have written, if you don't believe just filter the search for Draupadi for last three months on Wattpad you have so many stories of Draupadi's sister and Pandavas sister and Subhadra's sister and exactly the same story line

Thank you for the vote on my story, "Yath'aiva tvaṃ tath'aiv'āhaṃ ko vā mā'śvāsayiṣyati" - Kṛṣṇa Vāsudeva Speaks. Do you have a favourite character from Mahābhārata whose words you would like to read in Saṃskṛta, or a favourite incident that you would like to read in Saṃskṛta?
