Hey there to all my followers... I know I don't have that many of them but still.... I really nead your help right now... So my name is Shay and in the past 4 years or so, I have been a part of this youth movement called "Krembo's Wings" (I know most of you probably dont know what a Krembo is but just play along with the name).... anyway... this is a group of over 5000 teenagers that act to make the world a more accepting place for kids with special needs. We are kind of like the american Scouts, only we interlace kids with and without special needs. And this place really is amazing. Going there every week gave me a true and honest purpose. I met so many talented and smart kids. I met an autistic kid who could tell me the whole history of Canedian coins in five minutes, and a boy that is so freaking smurt and he can be director like he alwas wanted, if people just overlook the fact that he has CP and can only talk through an ipad.
And now this beloved place is on the verge of a complete shut down because we don't have enough funds to aphold ourselvs any longer, and the goverment doesn't conserns itself with our problem. And I know that posting this massege wont do us any good, but I just had to get this word out there.
I just think that in a world where the number of kids with special needs grows every year by 10%, it's illogical that we are the only movement in the world (I checked we are the only ones) that go's out and say "We don't want to be caretakers of people with special needs, we only want to be their friends". You know what scratch that we don't want to be their friends, we don't want there to be a "their". We want to "create togther a place and a meaning to every person". And now the only place in the world that is saing that is shutting off.
So please just help me get the word out... I don't know what to do anymore. So please help us.
