Stay a Little Longer (The Noble Dance)

          	Intro
In a ballroom where the stars gently gleam,
The guests swirl in the light of a wistful dream.
A prince and a lady, hand in hand,
Their hearts bound by fate’s quiet command.

          	Verse 1
Oh, noble prince, this night’s been divine,
The splendor, the music—a treasure so fine.
But though my heart lingers, I must take flight,
For shadows of duty call me from this night.

          	Verse 1
Why, fair maiden, must you leave so soon?
The night still shines beneath the silver moon.
The minstrels play on, the night is still bright,
Let us dance once more 'til dawn kisses the light.

          	Verse 2
Forgive me, dear prince, but the hour grows late,
My carriage awaits just beyond the gate.
Though this night will remain a cherished delight,
Duty tugs at my heart, and I must take flight.

          	Chorus
Why, fair maiden, must you leave so soon?
The stars are alive, and the world’s in tune.
Stay a little longer, the night’s still aglow,
The kingdom can wait for love to grow.

          	Chorus
Though I've danced with joy, this night must end,
Time is a river I cannot bend.
Your kindness is sweet, but I must part,
Leaving with memories sealed in my heart.

          	Bridge
But the music’s still playing, can’t you stay for one more?
When the world holds its breath, who knows what's in store?
Tomorrow may come, but this moment will fade,
Let’s lose ourselves in the magic we've made.

          	Outro
Stay a little longer? My heart longs for yes,
But the winds of honor demand I digress.
We'll meet again when the time comes,
As fate’s soft whisper gently hums.

@Chmu47 Have you ever thought about setting them to music - AI has made great strides in creating compositions Check out my music page in Blood Match - all the music there is AI generated. If it is something you might be interested in doing to actually make your stories come alive not only in words but in music - I would be glad to help you accomplish that.

Hello

Chmu47

The Cane Toad was resurrected. I have not decided its gender actually. Its gender is less relevant to the stories. I am lazy to revise but I will refine the writing in the future.
