Boring freelance copywriter and psychotherapy student by day, wide-eyed wanderer also by day (I take weekends off), I wrote a novel back in 2012.
The first draft was written as part of NaNoWriMo, but there was a much more important reason beyond getting published or finding fame and fortune.

It just so happened to be that November 2012 was my first proper month sober after years of battling -and being battered by- alcoholism.

Without a job, and without drinking as an option, turning up to write every day gave my life some structure and focus. As long as I was sitting at the kitchen table and writing, I was staying sober.

Writing the novel also allowed my characters to explain the thoughts and feelings of my active addiction in a way that I personally never could.

The whole process was cathartic and beyond helpful in keeping me sober in those early days.

Six and a half years later, I have no desire to become a best-selling novelist. I told the story that I needed to tell, and I'm happy with my sober life today, but I do feel it's time to share this story with others.

So, very much inspired by another writer who I happened to fall in love with, I decided to dig back into the archives and tell you all about the adventures of David Attreus, Noah Fallon, Rochelle and Sol.

I hope you enjoy.
