"The Missing Half"
The phantom weight upon my wrist
Where your head used to rest
Bleach white skin where the sun never kissed
Blocked by your body
Slowly remembering the sun's sting
Questions asked in the night
Silence is the piercing cry
A chill creeps across my bed
Like a snowflake melting upon my cheek
My hand has not regained its normal mechanics
Clinging for fingers that no longer entwine
How do you regain control
When you have lost the half that made you whole.
"The Missing Half"
The phantom weight upon my wrist
Where your head used to rest
Bleach white skin where the sun never kissed
Blocked by your body
Slowly remembering the sun's sting
Questions asked in the night
Silence is the piercing cry
A chill creeps across my bed
Like a snowflake melting upon my cheek
My hand has not regained its normal mechanics
Clinging for fingers that no longer entwine
How do you regain control
When you have lost the half that made you whole.
I will be posting more poetry soon. I have been having some issues with the app on my phone which is what I usually use. Please stay tuned.
