Guess who almost set the house on fire??
If you guessed me, you're right...
It's a dumb story and honestly, it's just so funny that I can't help but tell y'all
So what happened was that my sister had brought back home some takeout (something that all of my family members do when we go out to eat by ourselves) and since I always used to warm the takeout in the microwave in it's aluminum takeout box, I thought this would be no different
Boy, was I wrong...
I had failed to realize that this time, instead of an aluminum covered lid, it actually had a cardboard lid (they look practically the same so it's not on me)
So when I started to microwave the takeout, I decided to leave it and went to wash some dishes... Big mistake
I turned around to smell of something burning. Lo and behold, there was a huge ass fire in the fuckin microwave!!
Now, my father was sitting just a few feet away, and no, he didn't smell the burning cardboard. He was seated facing the opposite direction, so that poor old man had no idea what was going on
Now, I had two option: I either yell and alert my father, who would panic even more than me
Or I could face it like the terrified bad bitch that I was and risk the fire growing even more...
Honestly, the answer was right in front of me: I chose the second option, ain't no way I'm sending my father into an early cardiac arrest just because I couldn't beat up some lasagna!
So I pulled the plug, opened the door to the microwave and started silently freaking out.
Using the last bit of my braincells left, I grabbed only the tongs near me and picked the burning pile of cardboard (that was still on fire btw) and threw it in the sink, forever saving my family from an early death
I'm still waiting on a thank you from them (I never told them the truth cause I was scared my family was going to call me stupid again...)
Anyways, the world needs to know my bravery and if it has to be through Wattpad, then so be it!
