I've had a hard, sad, distracting couple of years. I started and put aside a whole lot of projects. I finished a few things too: an illustrated novella called Bramble Child, a handful of short stories in my Senyaza and Thrones settings, a cute interactive short story over at itch.io. But mostly I remember the time between December 2015 and September 2018 as... lost time.
This last autumn was really the beginning of a turnaround; I started, wrote, and finished the 6th novel of my Senyaza series. It's in revisions now and scheduled to release on Amazon in January. I really wish I could post the first volume over here for my loyal Wattpad readers, but it's a little complicated disentangling it from the KDP Select program due to it being part of a box set.
In any case, I want to apologize for my repeated teases about Nightlights 2. I still think that's going to happen someday but it isn't going to be next. However, the other thing I have over here, Moonborn, is a STRONG CONTENDER. My goal right now is to write whatever I'm most passionate about, and whatever I'll have the most fun writing, and when I went through Moonborn again last night, I really enjoyed it!
So what I'm trying to decide now is whether I should go back to posting sections here as I write them, or if I should consider other avenues for release. I'm pretty out of touch with Wattpad these days, but it retains a warm spot in my heart, so I definitely don't want to abandon it! Thoughts?
