My parents and older sister were just in a car accident today.
A school bus full of kids turned blindly at a stop sign and it was raining.
Dad was quick on the brakes--thank god--so it wasn't too bad, but the car we had was totalled and smoking. The airbags--one of which, the cover of it, hit my mom in the face and now her eye is swollen shut--caught fire, and everyone was out shortly.
The kids on the bus were fine--another thank god--but there might be a feud. Ugh.
My sister came home with a concussion and my dad pulled the muscles in his back.
I was home with the kids.
Point of this is?
We were having a good day, the kids were playing and laughing, I was drawing and being a dork, my mom dyed her hair fun colors that I wish suited me, dad was being a goofball and teasing me (as well as playing a five second video of a baby licking a toe and gagging over and over and dying laughing because that's just the kind of man-child he is), and my sister was at school.
Then just like that, a good day turned terrifying.
It could've been worse.
It could've been way way worse.
And I am so thankful it wasn't.
You never know when something like this can happen.
A seemingly good day can turn on you in an instant.
Live.
Please live.
Don't let the world pass you by.
Live in every moment to the fullest.
Cherish them.
Love.
Love yourself.
Love your family, friends, and even your pets.
And show it.
Love life.
Because we aren't promised tomorrow.
Love you, chumps!
