At an early age, Cindy Ramirez was given the opportunity to participate in a mime group at her local church. She learned the basics of performance and developed an interest for worshiping the Lord through this art form. Cindy competed in events held by Girls Ministries and gained recognition for her growing talent. At the age of 11, Cindy took part in a program at school where she had the opportunity to work with hearing impaired children. During this time, she began to develop an interest for working with special needs children so she began to teach herself basic sign language by using flashcards and self help books.

While competing in Fine Arts competitions in her church district, Cindy began to add more sign language inferences to her mime dances. In 2009, she came in 2nd in a competition that she had worked so hard for. Her determination to only produce the best for the Lord’s glory led her to take the criticisms of the judges and work harder on her craft. In June 2010, she delivered a passionate and touching praise dance to “Arrebato” by Nancy Amancio that touched the judges and crowd in a profound way. Needless to say, her hard work and determination paid off and she won first place in the competition.
Cindy is currently working towards a degree in Early Childhood Education and later plans to concentrate in Special Education. She continues to teach herself sign language and perform mime interpretive dances at church events in the Tri-State area
