Probably Light and Shadows is my last fanfiction (I mean never say never!)... but it feels like I've put everything into it that I wanted to explore about the amazing characters of Thranduil and Tauriel that I fell in love with. 
          	
          	I was highly therapeutic to write about those two characters who suffered so much trauma, to explore their past and their emotions and set up their future. I've written it in a time when I needed it the most and I felt like I could relate to their fears, doubts, triggers, numbness and processing. My inner therapist loved to work with someone like Thranduil :) And I am happy that, in the end, I could also focus on writing the good times and on coming out into the 'light' for both characters.
          	
          	Again I don't think I will continue to write more as I feel I've explored everything. 
          	I am glad I got to write the happy conclusion 'The Light of Valinor' and the last chapter I've written there feels satisfying. I might add a last one I've been meaning to write for some time (where Melian the Maia would make an appearance) or will just leave the rest to the reader's imagination...

@RussNaty oh I'm sorry to hear that, you'll get through it. I hope the psychology course is going well  I've also been struggling with some mundane stuff, bureaucracy and taxes and all that. Yes Thranduil calms me down too, also Tauriel, Legolas and the whole of Tolkien universe, especially the Mirkwood elves ✨

@Cineva999 Hello! It's been a while! I've been under a lot of stress due to exams, not to mention my work. Here in Brazil we are still going through a complicated political phase and the economy is bad, purchasing power is decreasing and wages are not keeping up with inflation, I'm having trouble paying bills and debts and this has taken up a lot of my thoughts. I can only dream of Thranduil calming me down hahaha I'll look into it for you and let you know if it appears in searches for me or not.

@RussNaty by the way, I noticed something weird, my story isn't coming up in search anymore on AO3, if you type 'light and shadows' or 'light and shadows Thranduil' doesn't come up at all. I sent them a couple emails but no reply so far, wonder if it's the work of that same person who stole from it. It's just odd.

Hello! Are you well? How is your writing? I saw you're posting it on AO3, that's great.
          I'm very busy, but after 3 months without creativity, something came to mind that I decided to write. I wanted to do this faster. And also having more readers is really a challenge.
          I hope you are well and don't stop producing, especially Thrandiel, this holy medicine for sadness and anxiety.

Hey! So I noticed that like me you are also a lotr fan, and recently I wrote and completed a fanfic about arwen and aragorn (a love story). If you have the time, would you perhaps give it a try? (I know your favorite is probably thranduil, but you could also try a slightly different taste?)

So annoying that this is the first year Wattys doesn't accept fanfiction. It was the first time I wanted to participate. I don't even know if I should post the entire fic now because next year they might open the fanfiction section again but, if I complete it, I might not be able to enter as it because of the date when it was first published.
          
          If I keep it ongoing until next year, I might have a better chance to enter it next year. But this is not fair for my readers now. I don't know what to do.
          
          What do you guys think about all this? I'm bummed.

@Cineva999 It's about halfway through, it's annoying I might have to keep the rest of the story on hold until next year. I literally only re-published it for the Wattys and was about to post it all. 
            
            And next year they might say that they still won't have the fanfiction category back!  I actually remember the Wattys button appeared for my other fanfic Mirkwood in 2021 but I was so new to all this back then, I had no idea what it was and I didn't click on the submission. I wanted to at least participate now with my other story.

@Cineva999 I understand you.  I think it's very unfair.  I think people should comment more and more over there on the Wattys profile about their displeasure.
            It's a tough decision.  I think it depends on how many chapters you intend to post.

I have started to re-post my 'Light and Shadow' Thranduil x Tauriel story again chapter by chapter as I have to do it, earlier than I initially intended, for something I'm quite excited about. So will continue to publish it chapter by chapter, hope you guys will enjoy it. It's all finished now and I'm already writing its sequel :D
