(Switch to mother's point of view)
The worried mother opens her daughter's apartment door at 8:49 AM that morning to find her daughter completely missing. The police are still as useless as always, so she returns to her home.
As she opens the door, she can already hear the dreaded ringing from the mysterious room.
In the room, she sees the mirror reflecting the two phones, but on the floor is only hers again being called by the daughter's. The mother answers the phone, turning away from the mirror. The message is the same, but this time, it is clear. It is not coming from the phone, and the voice is not a strange child's.
It his her daughter's voice coming from directly behind her.
"CAN YOU HEAR ME MUM?" The daughter calls from the mirror that shows the girl holding her phone surrounded by hundreds of ghastly children. The mother's phone shatters on the ground.
          	(Third person point of view)
An officer is sent the next morning to check on the mother who has not answered any of their calls. He finds the door left open, so he draws his gun and slowly enters. He eventually reaches the room. Only to find it completely empty... despite the reflection of two phones, one shattered, in the mirror. Then the officer's phone begins to ring.

AND THAT IS IT. I DON'T PLAN ON EVER EXPANDING THIS STORY, SORRY. HOPE YOU ENJOYED THAT IF YOU DECIDED TO READ IT

This is a summary of Can You Hear Me? As requested by MightyDorito. SPOILERS. Thank all of you for your growing support. I'm sorry this is so long.

This short story follows the last hours of an unnamed character. She is woken early in the morning by a disturbing phone call from her mother's number. It is followed by another hours later prompting her to contact the authorities. She leaves her phone behind and goes to check on her mother, only to find her mother's phone has been missing all night. Then the third call rings out from a locked room in her mother's house; a room that hasn't been opened in the 32 years she lived there.
          The room is unlocked.
In the room is nothing but a mirror and the mother's phone, the caller ID showing her daughter's number. Neither of them answer, but a message is left.
"Hello? Can...Anyone...Hear...Us?" Ring the voices of several children. The daughter makes a mad dash back to the police station to find the officers searching for her now missing phone. It is late, so the officers persuade her to go home and get some rest. She drives back time her apartment, but finds she can't sleep. She drives around to take her mind off things, and eventually returns to her home. It is 4:12 AM when she splashes water in her face to calm herself before returning to bed. As she leaves the bathroom she grabs...
          Her phone.
The phone missing from the police station. And it begins to ring and ring...
