The year is 2020 and yet us black people are still being judged on something we can not control, something that has been passed down from generation to generation, something that we are proud of; our skin color. It so disgusting how people can just kill someone is innocent and walk away like everything is okay. Nothing is okay. We are not okay. I don’t want to create future generations if this stuff is still going on. I don’t want to my kids to be scared to go outside, to go the store or even to go to school. I want them to feel safe knowing our law enforcement is helping us rather than breaking us down. I want them to be able to walk past a white person without them thinking that they are a thug or that they are gonna rob them. That’s not who we are, that is what society has made us to be. The year is 2020 there should be no way that us black people should be scared of getting shot down in the streets by the people are suppose to protect us.  
          
          I’m sorry if that is long but I owe it to myself and to my community to say what I have to say.
