Allen Wahlström grew up in Aledo, Texas, his father is a Navy Veteran and his mother spent decades as a NICU Nurse. After an injury ended his dream of playing college and professional football he started a twenty five year career in the fire service, first as a Volunteer in Aledo, Texas,  then in the US Air Force, followed by a twenty year career as a federal firefighter working on military reservations. 
After an on the job injury ended his career prematurely, he became a high school football and track coach, and later coached professionally in Poland with Lowlanders Bialystok. where much of this story was written.

Allen developed an early interest in politics beginning with Watergate at the age of  five, and then the 1976 US Presidential Election. While his political views have changed with life history and exposure to different points of view, his interest in political history and the events that shaped not only the American experience, but also world history, and political ideologies. Much of this life history has found its way into his stories, and he continues to study history and current political movements.
Coach Wahlström has five children and countless "kids" he has coached over the past decade. His interest in history, and natural curiosity has fueled his life.
He currently lives between between Kaunas, Lithuania and Richland, Washington.
