soooo, i noticed on ur profile that u said ur not a very good writer… girl, been there done that. excuse me, I SPEAK FROM EXPERIENCE.
ok, GIRL I’VE BEEN WHERE U ARE. first fanfiction posted, brand new author (i think u are lol), all that good stuff. GIRL, MY FIRST FANFICTION WAS PATHETIC. but yours?! GIRL, IT IS FIRE. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. and the book cover?! OMG TEACH ME YOUR WAYS.
u and me, we think alike ngl. like… for one thing, we both love Big Hero 6 (and a certain cinnamon roll hurhur).
but let me just tell u something.
something that helped me when i decided i wanted to be an author was encouragement from others. in my case, it was my 6th grade English teacher. what he said to me and did for me really helped. and what i’m trying to do is help other people the same way my teacher helped me.
i’m just gonna let you know a few things.
1. encouragement helps a TON. trust me.
2. ur writing style will change over time. when i wrote my first fanfiction, it was UTTER TRASH (in my opinion). i’ve been writing fanfictions for about a year and a half now, and my writing style has changed A TON. i am so much happier with my work now, and i’m really enjoying what i’m doing.
3. don’t be hard on yourself. trust me, criticizing yourself just hurts u and makes it hard to enjoy what ur doing. it’s ok to point out things that are wrong, but don’t be harsh on yourself.
just wanted to say hi and give u a few pointers. and a dose of encouragement.
