There was absolutely no point at all in the beginning of that last post. :) 

I once heard that American writers tend to use a lot of dialogue and European writers tend to use  more detail, well I'm American and I try so hard not to use a lot of dialogue but then I don't know how much detail is too much and I'm realizing that I have this specific type of writing where I use just enough detail and just enough dialogue but it all sounds awful to me. :)
