Hello readers, writers, and artists!

          	Starting a book is IMPOSSIBLE!!!

No matter how detailed my outlines are I cannot, for the life of me, write the first chapter of anything. And I just don't know why.

So... help? Tips? Advice? Anything? Please!

@CrystalGreninja That'd be great! I'm sorry for not responding earlier! I don't check my Wattpad notifications very often, apparently.

@CoconutMilkCat I'd be happy to help. We never did collaborate on a book. First chapters can be hard for multiple reasons, but I'm usually pretty good with those.

In my May 27th announcement, I said I would be posting a portion of my original story to my account here on Wattpad.

This prophecy has yet to be fulfilled.

However, I do plan on following through with it eventually.

The story follows a race of anthropomorphic cats as they struggle against the disease that seems to have come with the creation of the "Felites" (genetically engineered cat super soldiers). The portion that I would be posting is from the perspective of one of the main characters, a felite names Claws. The only thing is, I'm still working through most of the larger plot details.

Anyway, let me know if this is something anyone would be interested in reading and maybe giving me constructive criticism on, or if this just sounds super weird and you'd never get within ten feet of anthropomorphic animals. And let me know if I should look into posting it.

I’ve been eating Dove chocolates all day, and I’ve been pleasantly greeted each time I unwrap one with an encouraging statement. The last one I unwrapped read “Look at you glow!” Awwww

CrystalGreninja

@CoconutMilkCat Not gonna lie, I could never eat chocolate all day. A single, small Hershey bar is enough to make me feel sick.

            So good for you!

Okay-
I know how often I mention it but though I am having much difficulty writing my book, I believe I will post a draft of what the main anti-hero goes through while exploring his very wild character arc.
I am also having difficulty writing male characters since they think very differently than we females do, and most females authors seem to miss that.
But, oh well. Someday I hope to have this published but it has proven to be difficult. I'm studying in the ways of E. Nesbit, C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, and J.K. Rowling (who, by the way, do have connections to each other--how do you think Harry Potter was such a success?) and I am hoping to follow in their footsteps.
First step: I need everyone's feedback. This first draft, which actually occurs way later in the book series, is very, VERY rough. I hope to post sometime a little later this week.
I also hope to get back to my Wattpad pals...
          Sorry for not being present!

I have been working on a cat-themed book for over two years now and haven’t even started on the actual writing process. I know this is normal, but I feel like I’m stuck at the beginning and am struggling with how to start my first chapter.
          Any tips/ideas?

@WOLFPHOENIXX Wow, really? Is it your Spring break? For me, we only get an additional two days off but it made for a four-day weekend. Two weeks is pretty good!
