Hey everyone… I officially finished my latest book, *Make Me Over*!
I loved this story so much. The intensity, the comedy, the tension, and the overall storyline made every bit of hard work worth it. These characters completely stole my heart, and I’m so excited to finally share them with all of you.
Here’s a quick rundown of the story…
Josie Holland is a shy small-town girl raised by her two loving mothers who grows up battling insecurities after years of bullying about her weight and family. At a pool party hosted by family friends, two boys publicly humiliate her so badly that she leaves in tears. What she doesn't realize is that Bentley "Benny" Hudson-the quiet, rugged boy who has always had a soft spot for her-immediately goes after them in the pool for what they said.
Believing Benny was part of the humiliation, Josie leaves for Ole Miss and later returns home after college transformed into a semi-confident, beautiful young woman. But when she begins working for Benny's sister Georgia at a staffing office, she's suddenly forced back into Benny's orbit-and he's immediately captivated by the woman she's become.
Determined to help Josie come out of her shell, Georgia and Harper create "Project Josie," encouraging her to embrace her confidence through classes at Fierce Woman Dance Studio while jokingly convincing Benny to become Josie's unofficial "sex coach."
What begins as playful tension quickly turns messy and emotional as Josie and Benny struggle to navigate insecurity, vulnerability, obsession, and first love. As their connection deepens, Josie begins questioning whether Benny truly sees her worth beyond physical desire-while Benny realizes he may be falling for the one girl who has always terrified him emotionally.
