─ THERE WASN'T MUCH that could send Bette Kane into a blind rage. When she was younger, it could be the slightest thing, but now that she an adult, she had gained control over her emotions.
However, there were still two things guaranteed to send her spiralling: her daughter, Allison, and her dead-but-not-dead aunt Kathy. Who also went by Luka Netz. Who Bette may have wanted to murder.
When those two things collided-- the person who made her the happiest and the one that broke her-- she wasn't known for self-control. At all. And a St Hadrians girl losing control was something nobody wanted to see.
So, yes, Bette and Allison may have ended up in the emergency room and Bette may have been contemplating murder, but she was still a little more concerned about her daughter. After all, a run in with the Headmistress of Spyral was never really a fun time for anyone.

Bette shrugged her shoulders. "How that woman's mind works, I will never understand. But, uh, yeah, I think was leverage on me. Or she just wanted to train another kid to be a killer", she added bitterly. "Woman is insane."
"You're not in trouble", Bette assured immediately. "How could you ever be? Luka's the one in the wrong, not you. /Never/ you."

"Yes", Bette admitted through gritted teeth. "And that's why I refuse to let you go there. But Luka... I'm not sure if she wants you as a weapon. Maybe leverage. Maybe to see the extent of your powers. That woman's motives are always confusing, so I can't say for certain. What I do know is, she's not getting anywhere near you."
