I've been around for a while and find I live and love best one on one. Introverts usually do. And I, my friend, am an introvert. Without question and without complaint. Contrary to what most people believe, introverts are not wallflowers who do not like to talk. Just get an introvert started on a subject they know, love, have studied, or are researching, and they will talk your ear off.
Innies are people with more hard-wiring used in their brains. So the paths our thoughts travel are much longer than the seventy-five percent of the world that falls into the category of extroverts. We only seem to be slightly behind and different. It is this deeper journey that has led to the discovery of much of the technology and advancements enjoyed today and used in celebration of you extrovert adventurers, path-blazers and daredevils who strapped in and tested out the dang contraptions.
Innies do not need a great deal of exterior stimulus. Too much of a good thing is bad, crowds, bells, whistles, lights, and sounds, overwhelm us. We start chattering nervously, lose track of our thoughts, become disjointed and finally, withdraw, because of the confusion and pain these events produce. It takes us more down time to get back into focus, level out, and venture back into the chaotic world.
Outties are opposite. They need lots of exterior stimulus to feel good. With shorter brain pathways, they can be done with a topic in thirty seconds, leaving us innies behind to ponder a thought or an idea. An innie will sprout off an observation or a deep thought on a topic covered and left in the dust of polite conversation an hour earlier. It baffles the outties and makes them wonder if we are holding back, or deliberately trying to hi-jack the conversation? The answer would be neither, we were too deep into the subject to even think of it.
I hope, during one of my inner journeys, to find ideas and thoughts to share with you that are worthy of your time.

I ran across this while trying to clear out some of the clutter created by many years of jotting down thought...
