So I had a total brain fart and thought of Digimon for some reason when I read "Fullmetal Alchemist" and "computer" and "early 2000s" and then commented before I watched the video, and then saw it was a Grim Adventures clip... My brain is a bit frazzled today for some reason and I don't know why... Digimon has nods to alchemy in it (Zeedmillenninummon as an example), so ehhh?

@Cool05guy2000 You know? I really don't like TVTropes. That article really felt like saying nothing in a thousand words, and I despise it when they take a trope and make it sound like a problem without actually complaining about it. And don't even get me started and stupid tropes like "tHE aUThOR hAS nO SenSE oF ScalE!" ANYWAYS, my complaining aside, I don't see a problem with taking an obscure character and giving them time in the spotlight to flesh them out and expand the story. I do it with ULTRAMagic Alternate from time to time. If you can take any obscure character and make them compelling, you've got creativity and a strong setting on your hands.
