I bet it's so easy for you to just sit behind your phone or compute screen and hate on other people when you yourself have absolutely no academic or personal background in the areas of writing or psychology. If you truly believe a man should have full control over a woman and call her worthless, then expect her to come back to him, then you are sadly, sadly mistaken. Cult is not meant to be realistic at all, it's a house full of sadists. But After is meant to be realistic and portray real issues, which it does VERY well, but it also ROMANTICIZES the image of a dominant man and a submissive woman. Cult does the same except it's part of a contract; Harry doesn't view Kat as inferior, nor does he ever emotionally abuse her.
