The daughter of a lighthouse keeper, I started life on a tiny, West Coast island with a population of seven, and grew up with the ocean in my blood. Still living on an island, albeit a slightly larger one, I now work as a contract blogger, graphic designer and illustrator on Vancouver Island, BC Canada.

For the past two years, I have been working with writer Laura Hilker (BoJack Horseman, The Cleveland Show) through the 212 Creative Network mentorship program, on my first fiction novel, Red Atlas. The themes in my novel echo my own passions for environmentalism, wildlife, and the occasional conspiracy theory or cyberpunk thriller.

I received my BFA from Emily Carr University in Vancouver BC. For the last three years I have been working as a ghost blogger and copywriter for West Coast Gardens. As an illustrator, I've been able to work with environmental organizations such as the David Suzuki Foundation, Waterton Lakes National Park, and currently, Lifeology.

Last year I spent four months travelling across Canada, while working remotely, visiting every province along the way until I made it to Newfoundland and could turn an unfamiliar ocean into a new friend.
