I just wanted you all to know that I have NOT abandoned my story. I have been really busy with work and personal commitments, and unfortunately my muse is being uncooperative with ideas for how to continue. Please be patient. I will finish in my own time frame. Today has not been an easy day; my husband's grandmother tested positive for COVID-19 a few weeks ago.  As of Wednesday night, the comfort meds she was given were no longer working, and anytime one of the nurses would touch her, she would just moan. On Thursday afternoon, we were told she had 'minutes to hours.' 
          She finally passed just before noon CST today, and though I'm relieved that she's no longer suffering, my heart is shattered. Because of the quarantine, we had not been able to visit her since the day after Thanksgiving, and we left telling her that we owed her another UNO game. Please, if your grandparents are still with you, reach out to them before they are just a memory.

          I would like to offer my sincere apologies for not updating in so long. With the unprecedented pandemic of the Coronavirus, I have become an 'essential' worker, meaning longer hours and an unbelievable amount of stress. It's taxing my mental health issues, and right now it's difficult to do anything but decompress and try to find myself in the mess after I'm done with work. I do have things to type up, but not enough focus right now to do so. I promise I will finish, but right now I need to focus on myself and get my feet under me again. Thank you for your understanding! Love to you all.

Merry Christmas, everyone! If you celebrate another holiday, that's fine, I hope it was/is/will be happy! I'm grateful for each and every one of you! If you have no family to celebrate with, be it that you are estranged in some way or they are not with you anymore, please know that someone loves you this Christmas. Holidays are statistically the hardest on people with depression and loneliness, and I want you all to know if you need to talk to someone, PM me. I will be there for you! 
          Today was difficult for my family. As many of you know, yesterday marked 5 months since my brother's fiancee passed away unexpectedly at the age of 49. Being as it was the first Christmas without Lisa, who has been part of our family for 13 years, there were a lot of sad moments. When you watch your brother break down in the arms of your Mom and sister, while your brother-in-law is hugging him from behind, it's heartbreaking. As I said, you need someone, you're never alone. 

Found out that my childhood best friend's Mom passed away Friday morning. This woman was a second Mom to me all my life, and my own Mom's best friend. Makes you realize how much someone meant to you when you hear of their death. 
          For those of you who are commenting and asking when the next chapter is coming, please be patient. I have a full-time job with varied shifts, and a husband who needs me as well. I will post when I am able to; still in the process of writing. Thank you
