So I’m getting my dad into Wings of Fire, and, being the opinionated FanWing that I am, I start ranting to him about why MudWings are my favorite tribe and why the stereotype of them being dumb is the most pointless stereotype ever. Now, he’s only read up to the Lost Heir, so he doesn’t have a lot of knowledge of the series, and he says “I don’t think they’re necessarily dumb, but they do have simple thoughts.”
And I’m like “well, Clay has simple thoughts. You don’t necessarily know about the other MudWings.” How many MudWing POVs have you read from? Just one, because there’s only one MudWing POV in the entire series. So you’re basing your entire opinion of a tribe’s thoughts on the thoughts of a single dragon who didn’t even grow up there. Makes sense.
