So I have a quick announcement regarding Phantom Thieves of Hope, not necessarily giving too many things away, I wanted to give everyone an update, along with some good news and a few things I think are important to address.

The good news, which I’ve already somewhat hinted at through recent posts and discussions, is that now that I finally have more time on my hands to write, I’ve been able to knock out a lot of the chapters I wanted to in one sitting. Because of that, I’m hoping to start releasing chapters again and properly continue the story at the beginning of June, with June 5th currently being the most likely return date.

That said, I really don’t appreciate people who can’t just be patient or who clearly haven’t been paying attention to the updates I’ve already given. If people ask where things stand, I’ll always be honest about it. I have no intention of cancelling this series. Writing just takes time, inspiration, and energy, and once I finally get into the flow of it, it’s hard to stop me. But if I DON'T have it, or if I'm busy with other things; which I most definitely have been; I’ve now reached a point where I feel satisfied enough with the progress to start posting again.

What absolutely kills motivation, though, is people demanding that I release the story sooner, rudely telling me they expect updates immediately, or saying they’ll hold delays against me. Especially when I made it very clear that my health took a serious turn not even a month ago. That’s why I really appreciate the overwhelming majority of followers who’ve stayed patient and supportive during all of this. I fully intend to deliver for the people who stuck with me and waited for the series to return.

@Creepercraftguy I'VE BEEN PRAYING FOR TIMES LIKE THESE!!!

It's been so long, and yet you still deliver King! I can't wait to get back to the action and drama of Hope n' Despair! And i've said these before but I shall remain reading this fic until its end! No matter how long I have to wait for another chapter. But never hesitate to take a break if you need one. It can help with your mental health and focus.

Some people just don't know patience, but don't let those guys put you down.

I can wait for what you deliver, knowing it will be Fecking Diabolical!!!

Hey uh...I just found your YT channel.

...I honestly don't know why I was surprised by that. Of course you have YouTube channel. *Insert smiling sheepishly emoji.*

@Creepercraftguy But of course, there are some bastards that can't keep their pants on towards children and motherfuckers tried to hide it.

Really felt bad for the creator though. He had passion towards thos project, but got destroyed because 5 people.

@_red117 Yeah of course I did. You can’t take a shit in the DR fandom without hearing someone harping on about it. I wish we’d all just move on, protect the victims, and focus on them and other actually ongoing fangans that people are conveniently writing off before they can even get off the ground.

@Creepercraftguy So I'm guessing that you heard that "Project: Eden's Garden" got canceled right?

Is it just me, or does ReCaptured Chapters 5 and 6 say that it’s complete, even though it isn’t?

Matt_knowski

I see. Thanks for the clarification! I look forward to reading the rest!

Creepercraftguy

@Matt_knowski That might be an error that happened when I was modifying it earlier. It’s complete in the sense that it’s fully written, but not as in it’s done publishing

I'm gonna bet Elpis will be Makoto's Ultimate Persona

SodiumNuke5

Elpis is the representation of hope in greek mythology, makes sense!

@ThatShouldDoit I was thinking it'll be Philemon because Junko's Persona was Nyarly

It’s been a while since I last posted, and I’m really sorry for how long everything has been taking. I wanted to explain what’s been going on and share a few updates.

First, I truly apologize for the lack of updates. It’s not from a lack of care, I just don’t feel comfortable posting new chapters, especially for Phantom Thieves of Hope, until I’m genuinely happy with where things are.

I also haven’t had as much time to work as I’d like. I’ve still been writing whenever I can, just at a slower pace. I know I’ve said this before, but I’m really close now, I just need a bit more done before I feel ready to start posting again. I’ll let you all know when that happens.

A big reason for the delay is that I’ve been juggling multiple projects: Danganronpa Survivor (Tumblr), Danganronpa 2: ReCaptured (Wattpad), and Phantom Thieves of Hope (Wattpad/AO3).

On top of that, I’ve been working with a close friend, Megacomet, on an original Fanganronpa called Danganronpa: Dungeons&Despair. It’s set in a D&D-style world with 12 adventurers trapped in a killing game, using spells and class abilities to solve or commit murders. I’ve been handling most of the art, including sprites, CGs, and other visuals, so it’s taken up a lot of my time.

Even so, I haven’t stopped working on Phantom Thieves of Hope; it’s just been slower.

For ReCaptured, Chapter 6 is basically done writing-wise. What’s left is the artwork, and that chapter alone needs over 20 pieces, on top of the fangame work.

Once ReCaptured is finished, I plan to upload it and its prequel, Danganronpa ReProgrammed, to AO3. The format will change so each chapter is one full section (Daily Life, Deadly Life, and Class Trial combined), similar to Danganronpa 69.

I understand the wait has been frustrating, and I appreciate your patience. It’s important to me that I take the time to do this right.

Right now, I just need to finish two more chapters of Phantom Thieves of Hope before I can start posting again.

Creepercraftguy

@rym1nii If that is the case I apologize. And you know what? They might do. It’s really going to depend on if I’m up to it or not.

@Creepercraftguy Regarding IrrelevantAnon's post, are you sure you aren't getting ReProgrammed and ReCaptured mixed up?
Reply

Creepercraftguy

@_red117 oh no, we definitely will. I convinced the developer to make a YouTube channel at some point to do gameplay videos.

Quick question, and this may have been answered already:

Did the events of Danganronpa 3's Despair Arc happen in ReCaptured's continuity?

Matt_knowski

@Creepercraftguy Interesting! I look forward to reading Chapter 6 with this in mind.
Reply

Creepercraftguy

@Matt_knowski Yes. Danganronpa 3 Despaie Arc has not been changed.
