I'm a teacher that loves two things: to travel and to write. Well, that's not really true, of course there are other things that I love. However, for this site, I think these are the two things you need to know about me :) As far as travel goes, my goal is always to have visited more countries than my age in life. Top secret on the age, but just suffice it to say I've met that goal thus far in life. As far as writing goes, I love to write stories about my travel adventures. I made a goal a long time ago to write a book about these stories. I haven't met that goal yet, but stay tuned, you never know...I might!

If you are following me, you probably know my real name and you are wondering, "Hey Teach, what's up with the nickname Crewton." Well a long time ago I taught English in South Korea. It was difficult for my students, that were learning English, to pronounce my last name. It was always coming out, "Teacher Hoooootoohhn". My colleagues said it sounded like they were saying "crouton" as in a salad. Some how the nickname stuck, and I became known as "Teacher Crouton." How it ended up that I started spelling the name Crewton...no idea!

In case you're wondering about the photos in my profile, that's me SCUBA diving in the Red Sea of Jordan. The elephants I shot while on a boat safari in Zimbabwe.
