This is the last weekend A Symphony of Cicadas will be available here at Wattpad before I take it down. It's been fun to share my very first published novel with all of you over the last two months. I've really enjoyed hearing what many of you think about something I'm so proud of.

If you'd like to read my friendly little ghost story, make sure to check it out before Monday. Of course, you can also go download it at Amazon and then read at your heart's content.

Thank you for all your support!

Yesterday a woman came up to me, recognizing me as the author of A Symphony of Cicadas, and told me how much of a page turner it was. I thought that was so cool, and it sort of made me feel like a mini celebrity. At any rate, she found out about me through a mutual friend of ours who posted about my book on Facebook. I mention this now for several reasons. First, word of mouth is a powerful thing. Most people are going to read a book because a friend recommended it. There is no more valuable form of marketing. Second, the book this woman was raving about is $3.99 when downloaded at Amazon, Nook, etc, but free for all of you here at Wattpad. But that's only till the end of June when I'll be taking it down.

At any rate, thanks all for reading. I noticed more than 100 new views since last week, and would love to know what you all thought! In the meantime, I've been enjoying several of your stories here as well. Keep writing, and keep reading!

You guys! I just finished adding the final chapters to A Symphony of Cicadas! It almost feels like it did when I first finished writing the book. :-) I also added chapter titles to each chapter for easier reading.

You can read the whole thing here: http://www.wattpad.com/story/14061501-a-symphony-of-cicadas

I'm leaving the book live until July, so I hope you'll get a chance to read it all here. But if not, it is available to download at Amazon, as well as the sequel, Forever Thirteen.

Thank you so much for reading along! It's been so much fun to share this with you!

I watched with compassion as everything he had kept so close to his chest was now pouring out of him. He held no power to stop it either. He was healing as he mourned, enveloping the whole section of the world where we were with the strength of his emotion. They couldn’t feel it, of course, but I experienced every teardrop as a tiny ocean of hope, the breaking of his heart allowing the past to break free and make room for whatever the future held.

          And I was suffocating him.

Rachel makes some serious revelations in Chapter 22, which was just posted today. Thanks for reading along!

We're in the home stretch! This week I will be wrapping up A Symphony of Cicadas by posting a new chapter every day until the end. Today I posted Chapter 20. This is when Sara must admit she's facing a divorce from her husband, and must explain it to her little girls.

Hope you're having a fabulous Monday, and happy reading!

Hey friends! I just added Chapter 19....one day late. Oops! Sorry about that! This one does have a few naughty words, so beware. It explains the end of Sara's marriage, which has been hinted at several times in the previous chapters. Also, this chapter really will read better if you read Chapter 18 first (really, the whole book. But at least Chapter 18 to get the basis of this next chapter).

I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!

I just posted Chapter 18, aka the 'hot and steamy' chapter, in A Symphony of Cicadas. Folks, you may need to sit down with a glass of water for this one... This chapter is the very reason there's a PG-13 label on the story (and maybe a few cuss words scattered throughout).

In other news, we now have 7 chapters till the end of the story. That's not very many, especially since I'm posting two a week! I wanted to give you a heads up that after every chapter has been posted, I'm only keeping this live on Wattpad for a few weeks, and then I'm taking it down. I've really appreciated all the feedback I've received so far! You guys are all so awesome!

At any rate, go read some sexy scenes over at A Symphony of Cicadas, and let me know what you think!

I just posted Chapter 17 where Rachel meets Frank, another spirit in the afterlife. She's surprised when they see his wife with her second husband in the human world, and Frank isn't devastated over this. In fact, he seems happy for her. In response to Rachel's surprise, Frank had this advice to offer her:

“When you love someone, what you love most about them is how they make you feel. You’re not only in love with them, but you’re in love with the person you are when you are around them. This is a one-sided existence we live in, where we don’t receive the kind of love we used to get when we were in the world of the living. You would do best to adapt the way you love John to fit in with your afterlife, because you’re confining yourself to a world of hurt and disappointment if you keep going on expecting him to give you what you need. He can’t do it. But you can love him selflessly. If you can find happiness in his happiness, even if it’s from someone else’s love, you’ll find peace with him moving on. After all, a selfless love only wants the best for the object of adoration. And in our state, the best just isn’t us.”

Chapter 17 is the turning point in Rachel's journey through the afterlife. I hope you'll check it out!
