          Thank you so much for your continued patience while my co-worker and I work through your books! You guys aren't making it easy for us, and this is a good thing. I would love to Shortlist everyone, but I also can't be biased as this is a more advanced writing competition. I found some stories with incredibly original plots, though, which is what I like to see, and am tempted to go ahead and add them to my Reading Lists, but I don't want to spoil anything.
          
          Because of how tough you guys are making this for us, I think that when I announce the Shortlisters, I'll also announce the Shortlisters with the highest scores as Highlight Stories. These will be the ones that have solid hooks and character introductions, despite their genre.
          
          I hope to announce the winner of the Chinese Food Menu Challenge around the time I announce the Shortlisters, too, so there are a lot of things for y'all to look forward, too. Right now, we just ask for your continued patience.

          I've got an unexpected book shout-out for you guys. Despite not Featuring anyone last month, I'm here to Feature this writer and book, Dinosaurs Don't Dance by @JoelleSC! Not only that, but I have chosen them as the February Book of the Month! Congrats, @JoelleSC! This is a very unique and original story, and I'm looking forward to continuing it. I hope people who enjoy different kinds of stories will check this one out.

Good evening, guys! I think I will turn Bill and the Whistling Death into a trilogy! Book 2 will be the sequel, and Book 3 will be a prequel for when Bill and Ted served against the backdrop of the Korean War. That would give me two more chances to pitch it to the Wattpad Originals and more time for research for that prequel. I'm not planning for these to be as long as the Claxton stories and am not expecting a contract because it's not what's popular here, but I can try, right? This is a very new and unique war drama, and I want to do more with it as long as I continue working at Patriots Point. I want more people to give it a chance because it's so different, and I'm confident that I can get somewhere with this story--if not on Wattpad, then through a publishing house in South Carolina.
          
          I have a lot of work and research ahead of me, but hey... I've been working on Claxton for 10+ years. What's one more story?
