          Suddenly, my small body was instantly swallowed by his broad arms as he hugged me tightly. The rapid beat of his heart echoed against me as he kissed my forehead. "My little kitten is grown!" he chuckled, his face still pale from tears.
          
          He giggled, gently patting my head. "My sweet kitten, you are 14. What's cooking in that adorable little head of yours?"
