Hi guys!
So I've just reached 100 followers (WOOHOO!) and I just wanted to thank all of you for bearing with me. I know my updates are really, really, slow and that most of my stories have like two chapters and haven't been touched in ages, but despite that, you've hung around, supporting me through thin and thick. I know some of you have been with me since the very beginning, others for a few days, some are my dearest friends, and others I've never met.
Yes, I know this is all so cheesy, but it's such a warm feeling for a writer to get more reads, a new follower, a little comment at the bottom of the page. It makes us feel like we've made a difference, like perhaps the ideas and words we've shared have changed someone, and I think that's extraordinary. That we all change little parts of each other. Without even knowing what they look like, or what their laugh sounds like, we share deep parts of ourselves; parts we don't even show to our loved ones somehow. So to have someone read those parts, accept them and sometimes even cherish them is like being accepted by a new friend.
It's a mystery, the need for human interaction, acceptance, empathy, but it is a reality. What I think is brilliant about writing, or just story-telling in general, is that one can empathize for anything, from people, to animals, insects or even plants. Because a writer makes these things human. And the writer who creates all these humans, why, he's mirroring what he sees in the world, whether that's himself, his friends or total strangers. And the fact that people love these characters bring us closer to a world where people love and accept one another, no matter their gender, physique, status quo, sexual orientation or beliefs. They love them because they are people and people are beautiful.
So thank you all! :))
Love,
Crunch xx
