@Soukoku4ever1234 oh my god…that is traumatizing. How your mom handled it wasn’t…great. Drinking away problems in a house with minors is horrible. But at least she’s trying to get better. As for your dad it’s a good thing he’s in custody. Cheating is despicable especially if you’re married. And for your brother, as sad as it is, that is a coping mechanism. It’s completely valid you’re scared of loosing him. This whole situation is absolutely heartbreaking and with you being only in 6th grade makes it worse. You don’t deserve to deal with adult crap as such a young age. I hope you stay away from toxic coping mechanisms and stay safe that’s the only thing you can do for the time being. Stay strong.

@Cryingrainbows2025 so around 6 months ago , my mom found out that my dad had cheated on her with a coworker and she got really angry. She started throwing stuff at him,( like a lamp, and a few plates) me and my brother had just got home and we were upstairs. And we heard EVERYTHING. My dad moved out the next day and he has split custody now. Our mom started drinking a lot so, she got fired from her old job. She is trying to get better...But 2 days ago, I found out that my brother had been cutting and im scared im going to lose him. ( ps, im in 6th grade. My brother is in 8th)
