            As for writing advice, may I recommend checking my guide, Tips for Writing on Wattpad? It has chapters of all the advice I'd wished I'd known when I first started writing.

            Unfortunately, my contract forbids me from selling it, sharing it, or posting it anywhere else.
            Wattpad currently has exclusivity for it, but I hope to see it in print within the next few years.

            Feel free to suggest plot ideas. I could see it going quite a ways if I can find a decent basis for it. Most of my short stories have the spark, but need more kindling and firewood to really take off.

            I've had a variety of artists over the years. My cheapest ones, like the Beast master sample, are just a $2 stock images that I imported into Free version Canva.
            
            Once Upon A  Selkie was made by @SayWatt74 (Just leave a message on their profile page to get in touch with them. Price varies between $150-200usd, but the covers are lovely - they also made Dawn of the Starships, and When The Heart Sings).
            
            My better covers range between $100 for graphic design to $350USD for custom art (like Upon Wings of Change - the artist's name is in the author's note in that book).
            
            Tricked into Flight was by a different artist. Their name/contact info is in that Author's Note.
            
            
            On a sidenote, ignore the many, MANY cold-call artists/marketers/commissions/etc that will come knocking on your Wattpad profile. I tested a few and ended up cancelling every single order.

            Excellent! You've been may latest favorite author for quite a few years now. I'm buying anything you put out. Paperback or hard cover preferably since technology can fail. Paper doesn't lol

            Good news! I'm hoping to get Heartfire published late 2026! It's a long process.  :)
            But I'm hoping to slowly get all my books available in print/audio/ebook for those who prefer those formats.

 I haven’t ever listened to audiobooks but now I am going to have to try these.  Crystal is one of my all time favorite writers.  I still remember when Heartfire was originally being written and was 2 books :)

            That made my morning - learning that you had jumped right to UWOC.
            Which narrator did you prefer? The UWOC lady or the DOTS duet? Just trying to decide which direction to go with future stories.

And remember that the first draft merely has to exist. The editing will make it look better.

            May I recommend my Tips for Writing on Wattpad guide at the bottom of my book list?  It has all the tips I wished I'd known when I first started writing.

Otherwise, most countries let people with the phone app earn ~10 coins a day, which gives a chapter or two depending on the book.
            Coins can also be bought, but they're fairly pricey on Wattpad.

            That's a good question, and I'm not sure. Wattpad decides that, and I usually only find a week or so in advance. I'm sure it'll happen again.
            I do hope to get Heartfire published late 2026, so that will likely create a week or so of a free-reading promo to build hype.
            The original rough draft of The Virus Within is at the bottom of my profile (only covers books 1-2, and quite different though). Two chapters from Daniel's POV are in my Short Stories book for free. I'll be coming back to that one day and continuing...
