          Investigation: Juliana secretly retraces her steps from that night.
          
          She finds:
          
          a torn piece of Jason’s jacket
          
          muddy footprints that don’t match any Blossom
          
          a silver ring with initials scratched off
          
          BOOK IDEA 3 — The Puzzle Man
          Summary
          A serial kidnapper resurfaces in Riverdale, leaving behind puzzles only Juliana can solve. Each puzzle leads to a new victim — and the final one points to someone she loves.
          
          Plot
          Opening:  
          A puzzle box appears on the Jones’ doorstep. Inside is a riddle and a map.
          
          Clues:  
          Each solved puzzle saves a victim — barely.
          
          Complication:  
          The Puzzle Man begins communicating directly with Juliana, calling her “my perfect player.”
          
          Climax:  
          The final puzzle reveals Jughead is the next target.
          
          Ending:  
          Juliana solves it — but the Puzzle Man escapes, whispering:
