TIPS FOR PROTESTORS:
TEAR GAS:
For tear gas victims, bring a spray bottle of water mixed with baking soda. (three teaspoons of powder for every 8.5 ounces of liquid)
Do not wear makeup or anything of sorts on your face, that will worsen the effects of the tear gas.
Do not use milk in your eyes, that can cause bacterial infections.
When you get home, take a COLD shower as a warm shower can re-activate the tear gas.
If you are going to pick up and throw the tear gas wear GLOVES. They can get extremely hot so either wear gloves, kick it, or like i’ve seen in a video on twitter hit it back with a tennis racket lmao.
In Hong Kong to deactivate the tear gas they put a traffic cone over the tear gas and pour water through the top of the cone. This is EXTREMELY effective.
Wear goggles and a mask to prevent it from entering your airways.
RUN AWAY, the longer you are in the affected area the worse the symptoms get.
Please bring an asthma pump.
UNDERCOVER COPS:
There have been undercover cops sent to be amongst protestors and some even have metal on their shoes to break protestors feet/toes. To indentify an undercover cop they will have arm bands or head bands. They change colour everyday so please do not look for a specific colour as they change every day.
Some even have handcuffs in their back pocket so try and look for an outline of handcuffs in their pocket.
They usually have big, black ugly shoes and they’re all wearing them. They’re just some nasty boots.
Some have vests on under their tops so try and look for an outline of a vest under their top.
BEING IDENTIFIED:
Authorities are watching videos and CCTV of the protests and are trying to identify people and prosecute them. Wear masks, fake glasses, DONT WEAR MAKEUP as we’ve stated above and even if you look ridiculous, wear a wig if you have it.
If you want to post a video of the protests PLEASE blur faces if they’re clear in the videos.
