As a child, I was never fond of reading and/or book reports. Oh the irony that reading and writing are a couple of my favorite past times, as an adult.

My style of writing is very much inspired by my favorite shows and characters, as well as my own life. I am a die-hard fan of Sex and The City, and my stories are similar to Carrie Bradshaw, in the sense of basing them loosely on my own experiences. Another favorite is Lena Dunham's "Girls," as she does the same with her storyline. Lastly, Demetria Lucas, author of "A Belle in Brooklyn" is another writer, whom I've taken a liking to. Her works prove that you can create literature for an urban audience without writing 'typical urban' fiction.

I'm hopeful that this will one of the many creative outlets to continuously practice my writing, and improve my skills. Enjoy
