Okay! I talked with my friend and I think I understand now. Is Wattpad not a site that pushes your stories to the forefront for updating? I think next time, I'll send an announcement letting everyone know what I'm doing if it can't be avoided that you'll get notifications? Please let me know, I'm kinda spiraling realizing I messed up and annoyed my beloved shaylas (I'm meme'ing to cope from my panic ) Does anyone have any thoughts to help me? I meant absolutely no malice.  If there IS a way to not alert those who have followed, how do I go about that? Or is the system just completely not how I'm imagining it (like Fanfiction.net) at all? Is Archive not like that? I'm in big trouble

Hey! I think it also depends on if the followers have the books in their library. Even if they had not read it, to my knowledge if it’s in their library, it will still notify. Maybe it could be reading lists as well? If there’s someone that hasn’t followed, added to library or reading lists, or read the story then I’m not too sure

HUGE APOLOGY. I didn't realize my readers would be alerted when I was trying to refresh my stories to attract new readers by putting my stories more into relevant scrolls (It's pretty silent on Fanfiction, it helps to have my stories receive fresh eyes.) Could some kind soul please tell me how to make sure it doesn't alert you all next time I try and update stories as a 'refresh' like this? I sincerely didn't know, and I feel really bad TAT

@Cutegirlmayra that im not too sure of, cause from what i can guess wattpad pushes books that either have a popular hashtag or a popular read for specific readers. It probably depends on the popularity of the fandom, wattpad isnt the greatest app when it to advertising stories. Maybe try posting the book on other platforms? maybe the fandom is popular in a different app or audience

@Cutegirlmayra Dont worry about it! I was pretty surprised but im not sure how to help either. I do know hashtags help ? because wattpad recommends people books based on the the common hashtags they have on the books they read, like I get recommended books on Harry Potter cause I've been reading alot of harry potter works? I think it just depends on the popularity of the fandom hashtag and the 50/50 chance it'll land on a persons req. Votes also help!

Just realized I've been writing for 22 years and only NOW decided to have burn out, lose confidence, and dwindle in some passion while gaining favor for other hobbies... Maybe I'm allowed to write trash for a while that makes me happy without worrying about the masses I usually write for? Lolol new perspective, everybody x'D it makes a difference!

Sorry, been a while since an update! I'm gaming more lately, working really hard cause the world runs on money, but I wanted to assure everyone waiting (the few who sit with there weary eyes fixed on the notifications alerts lolol) that I'm still editing and working on Fanfictions, as well as original works (I'm a little nervous to release them, they're more 'mature' than I have ever written and kinda sloppy.) But this is just to let everyone know.
          
          I do like how Instincts is coming along, the rewrites, as well as working towards a new fanfiction based on KH, a game concept, written as though a player is livestreaming the first release of the game. I also have three original works that will probably never have anything happen with them, and one original work I do want to actually make a novel. It's a loooonnnnggg process though, and I've been burnt out writing stories with friends x,x I feel I need to be a 'consumer' for a while, which is why I'm watching anime and gaming a bit more in my free-time. (that and I kinda want to go on more dates, so I need more time for that.)
          
          For fanworks, Pokemon will be the next thing I edit and try and update. I'm still thinking about Instincts Season 2, but at this point, expect a lifetime of just subtle updates lol
          
          Thank you for your continual support! I'm also shutting down Tumblr Prompts for good and only finishing the ones I have currently in stock. I'm sorry. Life is life. But I'll get the ones already submitted during the time duration in. (Some people didn't follow the rules, and now, I just don't have the time to get to them all. My bad, Cutie Crew.)
          
          Streaming or youtube stuff in the future, tho? We'll see~

It's a sad fact, but I do hope to take writing a bit easier and less seriously, just got burnt out after all these years at last XD I am enjoying some downtime, and I deeply appreciate your understanding and comment. @Cutegirlmayra good for you Mayra for focusing on yourself and enjoying playing games and watching anime’s and stuff even though I initially found you through your SonAmy Tumbler prompts I completely and fully understand as well as support your decision of shutting down the prompts for good as nobody followed the rules and was unfair for the ones that were and for you of course as you were most likely overwhelmed by all the requests so I hope the best in making your novel and original works to can’t wait to read them
