Hey Jazz! I'm so glad to have been recommended your book "Redemptio" by one of the amazing respondents I got on my academic research survey on the Representation of the Indian Queer community on Wattpad - @plutointhestars
Like I said in the comment section of that book, hands down one of the most intriguing first chapters I've read in a while!

On a similar note, I need diverse opinions on the topic and I hope that since you've written a half-Indian character in your novel, you'd be willing to participate in the survey as well? I'm sure your voice will add incredible value to my research.

It'll only take 5-7 minutes to complete the survey.

Your responses are completely confidential and the data won't be shared with anyone. Your consent is very important too. No personal identifying information except your Wattpad username is being asked.

@Cygne_Noir2 hey! You can fill out the form even if you aren't from the community or Indian. I am looking for diverse perspectives and you just might be one of the few authors who is from a Western country and writing a major character with an Indian background.

So, thank you so much for the thoughtful input here in the comments on your message board.

Here's the link for your convenience - https://forms.office.com/r/AZLjfupUjt - In case you can't open it via this message, it's also available in my bio ✨

Hello!!! I’m absolutely honoured to have your comment here, truly. And I’m extremely grateful for the invitation!!! I’d be more than willing to answer your form; I just have one question: Can anyone respond to the form, or is it only for those who are actually part of the Indian community? Because, unfortunately, I’m not. I am not even British

Why did I choose to create a character with Indian roots? Well, first of all, I’m someone deeply passionate about culture, and even though I’m creating a completely fantastical story, I wanted it to have some grounding in reality. And the reality is that there is a very large community of Indians and their descendants in England (due to the harsh realities of colonisation), so to me, it made perfect sense to include an important character in the plot with a strong connection to this culture.

I made it a point to give space to Caleb’s family. I introduce his challenging interactions with his father, as well as his distance from the language, which would be Punjabi. Besides Caleb, other significant characters in my story are also part of minority communities.

In any case, I’d still be more than willing to fill out any form or sign up for anything you might need to help support the LGBTQ+ Indian community anywhere in the world!

Hi, I got to 100K reads but I need more followers to look decent for the Wattys. Could you follow me, please? If you do, you can advertise your story on my board and I won't delete it.
Also, if you leave a vote or a random comment on all my parts, I'll add your book to my public reading list.
