OMG, tying up loose ends is HARD! And as a "discoverer" (I like that term better than "pantser" now), it's even harder for me because my characters always wander off somewhere I'd never intended initially. But "My Seoul Man" is finally wrapping up and I'm sort of loving the challenge, I can't lie. Can I pull this off credibly? There were moments when I didn't think so, but the closer I get, the more confident I feel. Wish me luck! And if you're a "discoverer," too, tell me a story about a time when you were trying to rein in those characters toward the end!

My home care workers are finally declaring me pretty much back to my old self which is fantastic. I've got a few little issues, still, but I can walk and take care of myself without assistance and even drive if I absolutely need to, though that still scares me a little bit. The next hurdle is getting off insulin, which was very necessary after the massive doses of prednisone I took but which my body seems to be starting to need less and less each day. If I can get off that soon, nearly all my prayers will have been answered! I'm pretty good at all the injections and finger pricking and stuff, but I'm really hoping I'll be done with it soon. One step at a time, though, right? So grateful for the support of my Wattpad fam throughout! Having readers and writers in my corner kept me motivated even on the darkest days...

Are you gonna make more books??? I can’t wait to read new ones by you.

IlyEve0

@CynthiaDagnal-Myron I haven’t been doing novels because I don’t know what to do for them so I just do fanfiction books but I want to someday and yes I do draw but not for books yet.

@IlyEve0 Do you do your cover art, BTW? I took a look at your profile and I just love the covers of your novels. I've always wished I could do Webtoons but I can't draw, so if that's your work, I'm jealous!

@IlyEve0 I absolutely am going to write more books. I have to finish this one, and then I'll be starting a new one ASAP. Glad you're enjoying my work. That's what we writers live for, readers who "feel" our words.

I've been a bit slow getting back to reading some of my favorite stories here because I'm working on the ending of mine. But I'm going to be diving back in soon, I promise! I've gotten some great recommendations, too, and found a few new stories I'm curious about just by reading through the Creators Discord servers, too. Wish I had more time! Wattpad is a treasure trove...

I'm at that point where all the loose ends of "My Seoul Man" need to be tied up and I'm not going to lie, it's a daunting task. But I'm weaving those loose ends together a little bit at a time--a bit slower after my recent medical issues, but it's getting there. I can't wait to click on "Completed" when the job's done. Isn't that the best feeling, fellow writers? Though I will miss AJ and Eboni so much, there's nothing like that feeling of accomplishment when you get that last chapter done!

@MoodyMooseMouse Sweet of you! I've had some tests that indicate that the cancer was removed and had not spread--I have one more to go, but so far, I'm clean. Otherwise, I'm recovering, gradually, from the other medical issues that hit me at the same time. So physical therapy and such for a while longer, but the fog has begun to lift from my writer brain which makes me happiest. Getting there, literally one step at a time...

We did it! My Seoul Man has hit 100K readers--and to every single one of you, I say: BLESSINGS UPON BLESSINGS. You have helped me reach the Wattpad milestone I've wanted for years. Incredible! I woke up to THIS today: https://www.wattpad.com/story/342675471-my-seoul-man

I'm being released from rehab after some scary setbacks, and I just saw that Seoul Man is on the brink of 100K reads. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! And I do have an ending in my head and heart for AJ and Eboni. I just need a little more time. Be back soon!

@MarCafeWrites I really miss the old days myself, when Wattpad was a big community full of readers and writers who just read and wrote whatever they wanted without thinking about popularity. I miss the Newsfeed and the forums...all that. I've been experimenting lately, dipping my toe in the new Naver world. I may do that again soon--just dive into something weird again, for the contrariness of it. I think it would be good for my soul--and also, I have a feeling people would still eventually find it. They're finding the couple of older stories on their own somehow, even now. Which makes me happy!

@CynthiaDagnal-Myron Oh, I see. Well, nothing I write gets many reads, so I guess I don't think in those terms. I don't like what's popular, so I just do my own thing. No, not that I know of, but I don't read non-fiction unless someone I know wrote it.

@MarCafeWrites You can post it, it just doesn't get much play of course. Back when I first got here you could write all kinds of things and people would find and read it avidly. Or... perhaps I've gotten totally out of the loop? Is there any non-fiction I should know about?
