Hello! I write novels in a few genres, but they all have the same bottom line -- love, family, and a support cast of quirky-dirky, crazy, loving characters. And coffee. Plenty of coffee.
SIX DATES WITH JENNA is an Upper YA/Coming of Age story, the first in my *A Pinkie Swear Love Story* line of stand-alone romances that straddle the line between YA and New Adult. The next Pinkie Swear book (FINDING MALLORY) will be released in October 2013.
THE KEEPERS OF THE EMERALD CAVE is my Middle-Grade *bubblicious* series about a magical family living in Seattle, and all of the fantastical creatures who call the Northwest their home. The first book, THE MISFORTUNE OF THE EMERALD THIEF, is out now, and its sequel, THE CURSE OF THE PAISLEY CLAN (set in SCOTLAND!) will be available in 2014.
THE ELLIOT LAKE MYSTERY SERIES is a caffeinated coastal mystery series with a shot of clairvoyance starring the grumbly reporter Elliot Lake who lives on the beach in a crappy trailer basically hiding from life, but life finds him! STOLEN SPRING is available now, with DROWNING SUMMER coming out in 2014.
So I basically spend my days raising kids and weaving tales in the southwest corner of Washington State. I have red hair and blue eyes, our children are Chinese, and my husband is a forester who plants over a million trees each year. Paper or plastic? We'll take paper, thanks.
I'm a Midwestern girl who lived in the Philippines for a year as an exchange student when I was 16, and I fell in love with the Pacific Northwest when I moved to Seattle for college. Soon after, I found myself living on an Indian Nation above a bay full of whales and otters under an eagle-filled sky. I've also lived in a dollhouse with a pink sewing room, in a purple Victorian twenty minutes from the beach, on a flowery acre under a misty mountain, and now I and my family share our home in the trees with a pack of wild bunnies in the backyard.
