          I am posting this chapter because I've reached a point where I'm genuinely conflicted about the direction of this story. I feel stuck between two very different paths.
          
          I've read many stories where a victim is gaslit into believing they are overthinking things where they are told nothing actually happened, only for that vulnerability to be exploited. When I started writing, I intended to explore that specific scenario. However, after drafting the next two chapters, I started feeling uneasy.
          
          I'm worried: Am I exploiting a scenario that feels unrealistic or unnecessarily painful?
          
          I want to do right by this story and by you as readers. I'm leaving it up to the community:
          
          If the majority of comments suggest I should continue with this storyline, I will move forward.
          
          If you feel this direction isn't right, I will delete this chapter and rewrite the path entirely.
