the air around the space smelled faintly of strength and abandonment though was drowned out by death and the scent of red liquid, dripping down the many wounds of individual brave enough to stare it in those soulless eyes but not lucian. the golden knight would NOT perish in such a simple way. war stole and stole until you had no more. he called out to his ancestors, squeezing constellation filled eyes shut. he only could force himself to walk until his loyal weapon dropped from his grip, unable to move. weak breaths exited his cracked lips, bleeding much like the wound at his side. lucian dropped to his knees. just a little longer. that's all he needed.
