D.Brou Haydel was born in the 70's, Teen in the 80's, Discovered the world in the 90's, Got responsible in the 00's, and Introspective in the '10's. Born too late for Super Bowl III, but did see "Star Wars" on the big screen in '77. Grooves to Michael Jackson and doesn't get Justin Bieber. He is a self-admitted capitalist pig.

David Haydel is the vessel of an ancient soul with a yearning to spin intrinsic, character-driven, storytelling yarns. Began playing Dungeons and Dragons at the tender age of nine, and began running campaigns shortly after.

The creative streak moved into vocal impressions, electric football, music, and poetry in the 80's and 90's. The seeds began to germinate toward writing novels as the players for role-playing games became harder to come by. His logic prompted him to begin writing the stories he could no longer play in a gaming scenario.

Joined the United States Army in 1990, and went on a 24-year adventure through two combat tours (not counting Hurricane Katrina) and a dozen foreign countries. He had an interpreter in Haiti teach him palm reading, which helps him understand the human perspective of a story. He currently works in New Orleans, and is working toward his teaching certification.

David's writing style is equal parts real-world and "What If?" His stories infuse his passion to educate, and his stories contain several lessons learned from his own life experiences, and forges the personas of memorable people from his own life into the characters he writes about. He has been married since 2000 to his beautiful wife Danielle and has four dogs and a cat who thinks she's another dog.
