Raised on Merseyside and educated at Manchester University, after graduating, David E Hughes joined a new start-up retailer.  The business grew from 0 to 47 outlets in six years.

He founded allsports in 1977, which became one of the four largest retailers of sporting goods in the UK.  The business grew from 1 to 260 stores and employed over 2800 people.

David E Hughes has created four highly successful businesses in the UK, including a high street retail empire, turning over £180 million and an £80 million turnover high-end residential development company favoured by many Premiership footballers, including Cristiano Ronaldo; Nani; Vidic and Van der Sar to name but four.

He has spectacularly succeeded four times and failed twice.  He has been in and out of the Sunday Times Rich List.  There is nobody with a deeper knowledge of the skill set required to build a successful business from scratch in the UK than him.

David is passionate, committed and enthusiastic in everything he does.  He is a powerful communicator and motivator and always fervent in passing on knowledge he has gained throughout his vast and varied business life to enlighten others.
