            *     happy was quick to cover his research     -      he didn't want his first crush in literally over a century and a half to think he was     /      weird  or creepy     /       .      he kept one arm over it whilst she hugged him      ,     giving out a small    -     yet slightly nervous      -     laugh      *     heh     .     i suppose i did     .      *    the demon moved his free arm to wrap around the other     ,     closing his eyes and feeling a bit more relaxed      *

            [  she gave him a cheeky grin, just standing there like a little idiot for a moment before surprise attacking him. wrapping her arms around his neck in a tight and smothering hug. giggling up a storm, she nuzzled extra close, digging her nose into his neck. the grip she had on him was a vice, like she feared him throwing her off.  ]   surprise !! you’ve been secluded in here all day, so, i wanted to give you a hug ! 
            [  she cuddled him with enthusiasm, continuing to nuzzle her nose against his skin. a goofy smile on her face.  ]   did you like your surprise ?

            *       happy had been working nonstop all day    ,     books scattered around him    .    he hadn't acted like his human self in a while    ,   and hyperfixating on just     /    working   /   was one of the things he had done as a human     .    he was researching fairies   .    everything he could      -     a new     /    supernatural creature     /     that he could explore     ,    that he could document     .    and of course     ,     there was a fairy of particular interest to him    .    he wanted to know more about      /    her     /   .    so it was a nice surprise when he was suddenly startled by circes     ,     happy dropping his pen in surprise       *         oh     -   you do     ?

            and what if they do     ?    it's not like they could    /     do     /   anything    .     *     happy shrugged      ,       rocking on his heels as he took in his surroundings     .    admittedly    ,   he hadn't been to any sort of religious buildings in a     /    while     /    -     some reasons more obvious than others     -     such as his very     /     different    /      appearance      *
